And planting an idea via the subconscious is nothing original either . i can list bigger ideas other movies plant . "The Matrix", planting the idea into everyone in their world making them believe they are in reality and Total Recall 1990, a false 2 week vacation memory has been planted in Arnold.
And for people that says dreams and virtual reality is different, wrong. What is presented in inception is a virtual reality, because a gadget is needed to enter the psuedo-reality, and a place that is constructed for the subject to feel real using a gadget is a virtual reality. If you wanna watch a dream, watch paprika or The Holy Mountain .
So what is new in inception ? nothing .
And the movie is plain stupid, the first hour consist of only exposition, explaining the rules of the virtual reality and the next half contradicting the rules that they've made up. The conclusion is also dumb and cliche.
